Most men are surprised to learn that they can suffer from vein conditions that they thought only affected women. Though most of the cosmetic conditions such as spider veins, affect mostly women, other venous conditions occur in men equally. As many as 15% of men ages 40-79 suffer from venous disease, and more than 40% of men in their seventies are affected by varicose veins. They can lead to discoloration, skin ulcers, and bleeding. Men with venous insufficiency usually can be seen with bulging veins in their lower legs. Some symptoms may include: Itching, leg pain, leg fatigue, swelling and heaviness, skin color changes and venous ulcers. Remember…These are not COSMETIC concerns like you think or have been told. There is virtually no pain, bruising, or scaring seen and normal activities can be resumed within one day.  These procedure options are done on an outpatient basis in our state-of-the-art vein center. Endovenous Laser/RF treatment Vascular Laser and RF Therapy is a minimally-invasive procedure that can be performed in the office in less than one hour. In this procedure a thin fiber is inserted into thediseased vein delivering a high frequency impulse through the device making the vein coagulate, shrink and disappear.
